Privacy
The short version: this site has no forms, no accounts and no newsletter. It measures how its pages are read. That is all it does.
Who is responsible
This site is run by Alexey Stepanov — corporate investigations and credibility assessment, based in Moscow and working internationally. For anything on this page, or about data held on you, write to alex@liescan.me. I answer personally.
What is collected
Traffic statistics, through Yandex Metrica. This records which pages were opened and in what order, how long they were read, which site or search you arrived from, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser. It uses cookies to tell one visit from another.
A recording of the visit. Metrica's Webvisor feature is switched on, which means the session is recorded: mouse movement, scrolling, and clicks on the page. I use it to see where a page loses the reader — not to identify anyone.
Nothing you type, because there is nowhere to type it. This site has no contact form, no sign-up, no payment and no comments. Every way of reaching me is an email address, a phone number or a Telegram handle, and those live outside this site.
Why
To find out which pages are actually read and where people give up, so that the writing can be improved. Not for advertising, not for building a profile on you, and nothing is sold to anyone.
If you write to me
Email, telephone and Telegram are outside this site and outside its statistics. What you send me stays confidential and is used only to answer you and, if we work together, to do the work. Nothing from correspondence or from an engagement appears in my writing, teaching or talks.
How to refuse
You can block cookies for this site in your browser, or use private browsing. Yandex publishes its own opt-out for Metrica, which stops the collection across all sites using it.

Refusing costs you nothing here: every page works identically without statistics.
Where the data goes
The statistics are held by Yandex, which operates Metrica under its own privacy policy and its own retention periods. I see reports and recordings inside that service; I do not export them, combine them with anything, or pass them to anyone.

Your rights
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may ask what data is held on you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to alex@liescan.me and say what you want done. For data inside Metrica, the practical route is the opt-out above, which I will confirm from my side on request.
Changes to this page
If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date below changes too.
